Who Should Attend?

This course is open to anyone who wants to enhance their teaching skills and broaden their knowledge in fitness training while striving for excellence in their career.

  • Clubs can nominate up to 10 participants per session to attend the course and elevate their qualifications.
  • Please inform us during the registration process if any attendees have learning difficulties or disabilities, so we can ensure appropriate accommodations.

This course is designed to provide your instructors with a comprehensive understanding of recovery techniques that can be used to support clients recovering from injuries, those returning to fitness, or individuals seeking effective recovery between workouts.

 

Course Breakdown (6.5 hours)

1. Introduction and Theory (45 minutes)

  • Overview of Recovery Techniques: Importance of recovery in fitness.
  • Stretching, Foam Rolling, and Fascia Training: The three primary techniques and how they contribute to muscle recovery, flexibility, and injury prevention.
  • Client Needs and Considerations: How to assess clients and select the right techniques based on individual needs (injury recovery, flexibility, etc.).
  • Benefits: Why these recovery techniques are vital in an overall fitness program.

2. Stretching (90 minutes)

  • Theory and Types of Stretching (20 minutes)

    • Static vs. Dynamic stretching: When and how to apply each.
    • Benefits of flexibility training for injury prevention and performance.
    • Mobility vs. Strech
    • Mobility vs. Stability
  • Practical Demonstration (40 minutes)

    • Upper Body Stretching & Mobility: Neck, shoulders, arms, and chest.
    • Lower Body Stretching & Mobility: Hips, hamstrings, quadriceps, calves.
    • Full Body Stretching & Mobility: Incorporating stretches that engage the whole body (i.e. for flexibility and mobility).
  • Hands-On Practice (30 minutes)

    • Participants practice guided stretching and mobility techniques on each other.
    • Focus on form, breathing, and client communication.

3. Foam Rolling & Auto-massage (90 minutes)

  • Theory Behind Foam Rolling (20 minutes)
    • Explanation of Myofascial Release (MFR).
    • Foam rolling benefits for reducing muscle tightness, improving circulation, and enhancing mobility.
  • Practical Demonstration (40 minutes)
    • Upper Body Foam Rolling: Targeting the upper back, shoulders, and arms.
    • Lower Body Foam Rolling: Rolling techniques for the quads, hamstrings, calves, and IT band.
  • Hands-On Practice (30 minutes)
    • Participants practice foam rolling techniques on each other.
    • Tips on adjusting pressure for clients with different needs (e.g., tender areas or high tension spots).

4. Fascia Training (90 minutes)

  • Theory and Overview of Fascia (20 minutes)
    • What is fascia and why it’s important for overall movement and recovery.
    • Fascia’s role in mobility and flexibility.
  • Practical Demonstration (40 minutes)
    • Techniques for fascia training (e.g., using foam rollers, trigger point therapy, and fascia release methods).
    • Targeted areas of focus: shoulders, back, hips, and legs.
  • Hands-On Practice (30 minutes)
    • Participants practice fascia training techniques using tools (e.g., foam rollers, massage balls, or hands-on techniques) on each other.
    • Focus on fascia-related problems (tight muscles, knots, limited movement).

5. Recovery Class Integration and Delivery (45 minutes)

  • Combining Techniques (15 minutes)
    • How to integrate Stretching, Foam Rolling, Fascia Training, and Meditation into a cohesive recovery program.
    • Designing a complete recovery class or one-on-one session for clients.
  • Instructor Delivery Practice (30 minutes)
    • Participants practice delivering short recovery sessions to each other, combining the three techniques in a 15-minute class format.
    • Emphasis on timing, pacing, and maintaining a calm, focused environment for optimal recovery.

6. Review and Q&A (30 minutes)

  • Review Key Techniques: Recap of all three training techniques and their specific applications.
  • Q&A session: Address any questions or clarifications needed by participants.
  • Feedback: Gather feedback from participants to ensure understanding and retention of the material.

Course Conclusion (15 minutes)

  • Certification of Completion: Provide certificates to participants who successfully complete the course.

Certification & Examination Details

✅ Practical Examination

On the day of the course, a practical exam is part of the certification process. The exam allows participants to demonstrate the skills and techniques learnt during training in a supportive and professional environment.

Post-Course Feedback & Certificate Access

  • The day after the course, participants will receive an email with a feedback form.

  • Once the feedback form is completed, participants will receive access to download their official Certificate of Completion.

  • Please note: your responses on the feedback form do not affect your eligibility for certification — it is purely for course improvement purposes.

 

Certification Conditions

Each participant who actively participates in the course and completes the practical exam will be awarded a:

Certificate of Completion
4 CPD Points

However, a certificate will not be issued if a participant:

  • Fails to attend the full course,

  • Does not engage in the practical elements,

  • The student either violates safety protocols or displays inappropriate conduct during the course.

Any cases of misconduct or non-compliance will be reported directly to the club manager (if applicable).

Certification and Recognition

  • Every participant will receive a certificate with 4 CPD points in Continuing Professional Development.
  • Our school is internationally accredited and recognised worldwide.
  • All PFS qualifications meet industry standards developed at the international level.
  • REPs ensures that our standards align with global standards, granting recognition and credibility to all course participants and instructors.

Payment & Registration Details

For Individual Participants:

  • Apply directly through our website.

  • Full payment is required in advance to secure your spot.

  • Full payment must be made at the time of registration to secure your spot.

  • The course fee includes training materials and all operational expenses.

 

For Fitness Clubs (Staff Training):

  • The course fee is invoiced to the venue (club or studio).

  • Payment must be made at least one week before the course date to allow us to:

    • Prepare printed training materials

    • Organize trainer travel or accommodation if needed

    • Ensure smooth course delivery

  • The standard fee covers up to 10 participants.
