This course is open for everyone who wants to improve their teaching skills and general knowledge in the field, walking the path of development and reach excellence.

There are no previous qualifications required however a reasonable level of fitness and exposure to the industry are recommended.

One-Day Course Schedule (Updated)
Total Course Duration: 7.5 hours
(including a 1-hour practical skills assessment – 100% attendance required)

10:00 – 10:30

Introduction and Course Overview

  • Welcome and course objectives

  • Safety rules and professional standards

  • Principles and benefits of aqua aerobics

  • Target populations (seniors, pregnancy, rehabilitation, beginners)

10:30 – 11:15

Session 1 – Pool Warm-Up

  • Safe water-based warm-up techniques

  • Joint preparation and mobility

  • Using water resistance correctly

  • Injury prevention in aquatic exercise

11:15 – 11:45 – Break

11:45 – 12:30

Session 2 – Pool Workout Techniques

  • Cardio and strength movements in water

  • Use of aqua equipment (noodles, resistance tools)

  • Shallow and deep water training

  • Modifications for:

    • injuries

    • osteoporosis

    • pregnancy

    • beginners and seniors

12:30 – 13:30

Session 3 – Aqua Aerobics Theory

  • Physiology of exercising in water

  • Structure of a professional aqua class

  • Health and safety standards

  • Music, tempo (BPM) and class intensity

13:30 – 14:00

Session 4 – Studio Session: Class Design & Teaching Skills

  • Types of aqua classes (cardio, strength, rehabilitation, seniors)

  • How to structure a full aqua workout

  • Motivation, cueing and group communication

  • Working with mixed-ability participants

14:00 – 15:00

Session 5 – Cool Down & Stretching in Water

  • Safe cooling down after training

  • Stretching techniques in water

  • Flexibility and recovery

  • Injury prevention

15:00 – 16:00

Session 6 – Student Practical Assessment (Final Evaluation)

Each participant must demonstrate their ability to teach aqua aerobics safely and professionally.

Participants will:

1. Lead a 5–8 minute aqua segment.

This may include:

  • warm-up

  • main workout

  • or cool-down

2. Demonstrate:

  • correct posture and movement

  • safe exercise execution

  • effective cueing and communication

  • use of water resistance

  • ability to modify exercises for different abilities

3. Answer short instructor questions, such as:

  • How would you modify this for knee pain?

  • How do you reduce intensity for beginners?

  • Why is cool-down important in aqua classes?

Course Review & Certification

  • Individual feedback

  • Final competency review

  • Certification awarded to participants who meet the required standard

Outcome of the Course

Upon successful completion, participants will be able to:

  • Independently run safe and effective aqua aerobics classes

  • Adapt exercises for different fitness levels and medical conditions

  • Use Aqua equipment correctly.

  • Work professionally in leisure centres, fitness clubs, hotels, or as freelance aqua instructors

  • Demonstrate their teaching skills in a live, practical evaluation

Certification & Examination Details

✅ Practical Examination

On the day of the course, a practical exam is part of the certification process. The exam allows participants to demonstrate the skills and techniques learnt during training in a supportive and professional environment.

Post-Course Feedback & Certificate Access

  • The day after the course, participants will receive an email with a feedback form.

  • Once the feedback form is completed, participants will receive access to download their official Certificate of Completion.

  • Please note: your responses on the feedback form do not affect your eligibility for certification — it is purely for course improvement purposes.

 

Certification Conditions

Each participant who actively participates in the course and completes the practical exam will be awarded a:

Certificate of Completion
4 CPD Points

However, a certificate will not be issued if a participant:

  • Fails to attend the full course,

  • Does not engage in the practical elements,

  • The student either violates safety protocols or displays inappropriate conduct during the course.

Any cases of misconduct or non-compliance will be reported directly to the club manager (if applicable).

Certification and Recognition

  • Every participant will receive a Certificate with 4 CPD points in Continuing Professional Development.
  • Our school is internationally accredited and recognized worldwide.
  • All PFS qualifications meet industry standards developed at the international level.
  • REPs ensures that our standards align with global standards, granting recognition and credibility to all course participants and instructors.

Payment & Registration Details

For Individual Participants:

  • Apply directly through our website.

  • Full payment is required in advance to secure your spot.

  • Full payment must be made at the time of registration to secure your spot.

  • The course fee includes training materials and all operational expenses.

 

For Fitness Clubs (Staff Training):

  • The course fee is invoiced to the venue (club or studio).

  • Payment must be made at least one week before the course date to allow us to:

    • Prepare printed training materials

    • Organize trainer travel or accommodation if needed

    • Ensure smooth course delivery

  • The standard fee covers up to 10 participants.
