  • Identify the correct set-up and posture and identify the health and safety issues which are involved when using the equipment in its environment

  • Use correct breathing technique

  • Teach cycling techniques, cycling profiles and drills

  • Plan, structure and deliver a class

Fitness clubs can nominate up to 10 staff members per session. This is an excellent opportunity to develop in-house expertise and improve the quality of your indoor cycling offerings.

✅ For Individuals

If you're applying as an individual, you are welcome to join — provided you meet the following entry requirements:

  • basic understanding of human anatomy and biomechanical movement

  • A genuine interest in fitness education and a commitment to learning

  • No prior experience as a cycling instructor is required, but a background in fitness training is recommended

Indoor Cycling Staff Training Schedule

Total Duration: 7 hours (including a 30-minute break)
Required Attendance: 6.5 hours

10:00 AM – 10:15 AM
Welcome and Introduction

  • Overview of course content and objectives.
  • Qualification outcomes explained.
  • A brief introduction of participants and trainers.

10:15 AM – 11:00 AM
Bicycle Elements and Proper Setup

  • Anatomy of the bike: resistance knob, pedals, handlebars, and seat.
  • Proper bike setup for various body types.
  • Equipment maintenance and safety checks.

11:00 AM – 11:45 AM
Pedaling Techniques and Breathing

  • Introduction to proper pedalling mechanics.
  • How to avoid common errors.
  • Breathing techniques to maximise performance.

11:45 AM – 12:30 PM
Music in Cycling Classes

  • The role of musicality and rhythm in indoor cycling.
  • Choosing the right tracks for warm-up, aerobic, and cool-down segments.
  • Synchronising drills with music beats.

12:30 PM – 1:00 PM
Break (30 minutes)

1:00 PM – 1:45 PM
Indoor Cycling Class Types and Objectives

  • Overview of cycling profiles (e.g., endurance, strength, intervals).
  • Structuring classes for various participant levels.

1:45 PM – 2:30 PM
Practical Exercises and Drills

  • Participants practise cycling techniques at four difficulty levels.
  • Focus on visualisation, instructional skills, and participant motivation.

2:30 PM – 3:15 PM
Health & Safety and Stretching Techniques

  • Health and safety considerations in cycling sessions.
  • Stretching before and after class to prevent injuries.

3:15 PM – 3:45 PM
Planning and Delivering a Class

  • Structuring an effective class plan.
  • Teaching cycling profiles and drills.
  • How to motivate participants during classes.

3:45 PM – 5:00 PM
Practical Assessment and Feedback

  • Participants deliver a short class segment.
  • Individual feedback from trainers.

Course Outcomes

Certification & Examination Details

✅ Practical Examination

On the day of the course, a practical exam is part of the certification process. The exam allows participants to demonstrate the skills and techniques learnt during training in a supportive and professional environment.

Post-Course Feedback & Certificate Access

  • The day after the course, participants will receive an email with a feedback form.

  • Once the feedback form is completed, participants will receive access to download their official Certificate of Completion.

  • Please note: your responses on the feedback form do not affect your eligibility for certification — it is purely for course improvement purposes.

 

Certification Conditions

Each participant who actively participates in the course and completes the practical exam will be awarded a:

Certificate of Completion
4 CPD Points

However, a certificate will not be issued if a participant:

  • Fails to attend the full course,

  • Does not engage in the practical elements,

  • The student either violates safety protocols or displays inappropriate conduct during the course.

Any cases of misconduct or non-compliance will be reported directly to the club manager (if applicable).

Certification and Recognition

  • Every participant will receive a certificate with 4 CPD points in Continuing Professional Development.
  • Our school is internationally accredited and recognised worldwide.
  • All PFS qualifications meet industry standards developed at the international level.
  • REPs ensures that our standards align with global standards, granting recognition and credibility to all course participants and instructors.

Payment & Registration Details

For Individual Participants:

  • Apply directly through our website.

  • Full payment is required in advance to secure your spot.

  • Full payment must be made at the time of registration to secure your spot.

  • The course fee includes training materials and all operational expenses.

 

For Fitness Clubs (Staff Training):

  • The course fee is invoiced to the venue (club or studio).

  • Payment must be made at least one week before the course date to allow us to:

    • Prepare printed training materials

    • Organize trainer travel or accommodation if needed

    • Ensure smooth course delivery

  • The standard fee covers up to 10 participants.
