By offering international certifications, the new course PFS FUNCTIONAL ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY® caters to a global audience and ensures that learners are equipped with skills and qualifications that hold value across borders.
Throughout the PFS FUNCTIONAL ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY® course, students will delve into the captivating study of the human body, with a specific focus on its anatomy and biomechanics of movement across all systems.
Anatomy plays a pivotal role in comprehending how the distinct structures of the human body are organised and function together. Students will explore topics such as skeletal structure, the muscular system, the nervous system, the cardiovascular system, the respiratory system, and more. By understanding the intricate details of each system and their interconnections, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of how these systems collaboratively facilitate human movement.
In addition to the study of anatomy, students will also explore the physiology of movement. This field investigates how forces interact with the body during various activities such as walking, running, jumping, or lifting objects. By examining principles such as leverage, torque, and joint mechanics, students will develop an understanding of how these factors influence movement efficiency and performance.
By covering both anatomy and biomechanics of movement across all systems in this course, students will acquire a solid foundation for further exploration in fields like kinesiology or physical therapy. This knowledge will not only enhance their comprehension of human physiology but also equip them with valuable insights into optimising movement patterns for enhanced sports performance or injury prevention.
A thorough understanding of the human body is essential for all fitness professionals. Knowing precisely how the human body functions and the processes involved in each movement and exercise allows for more informed fitness advice. This knowledge, rooted in human anatomy, encompasses the combination of bones, ligaments, tendons, joints, and muscles. Without a grasp of these principles, clarity is unattainable when recommending specific movements using particular techniques.
Hence, our PFS FUNCTIONAL ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY® course stands out as the optimal choice for deepening your knowledge of human anatomy, focusing solely on what is essential for preparation in the fitness industry. This course is included in our offerings such as PFS PERSONAL TRAINER® WITH GYM INSTRUCTOR AND NUTRITION and PFS PILATES ® INSTRUCTOR intended for those seeking to refresh their anatomical knowledge or repeat the course.
