An intro into motricity – how to build better movement. This workshop will equip you with knowledge on the basic elements of human motricity – the basic motor abilities: strength, speed, endurance and coordination. We'll focus on what these abilities are, what their predispositions are, how they develop, why they're useful to us as fitness professionals, and especially how to train them to achieve our clients' specific goals. If you've never heard of the topic, it's no problem – I'll walk you through the basics!
Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey, an experienced personal trainer, or an elite athlete, this workshop offers an introduction to one of the most fundamental – yet often overlooked – aspects of physical fitness: motricity, a.k.a. the science of movement.
This webinar is jam-packed with in-depth practical knowledge of what the four core motor abilities that build human movement are: strength, speed, endurance and coordination. Having a firm grasp on these elements allows us to truly effectively cater to our (or our client’s) needs and fitness goals.
Throughout the two-hour run time, we’ll explore:
- What these motor abilities are – clearly defining each and how they interact,
- The biological and neurological predispositions that influence them,
- How these abilities develop across different ages and training backgrounds,
- Why understanding motricity matters for fitness professionals and movement specialists,
- How to train each quality effectively to support specific client goals (e.g. performance, rehabilitation, or healthy ageing).
By the end of this session, you’ll not only be able to identify and assess your clients’ motor ability profiles but also confidently programme strategies to improve them — helping your clients move better, feel better, and perform at their best.
