Who Should Attend?

  • Outcome: Successfully pass the theory exam with a score of 75% or higher to demonstrate your understanding of Pilates fundamentals.

MODULE 12

PFS PILATES® PRACTICAL EXAM

  • Format: Practical exam in the gym or online
  • Focus: Demonstrating a full Pilates sequence, teaching a class, and applying all techniques learned throughout the course.
  • Outcome: Successfully demonstrate your ability to teach and execute Pilates exercises to a high standard. Upon passing, you will be awarded your PFS Classical Pilates Instructor Certification.

Examination Details for PFS Classical Mat Pilates Instructor

The PFS Classical Pilates Instructor certification examination is divided into both theory and practical assessments, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of your knowledge and teaching abilities. Below are the key components of the examination:

 

Theory Exam

  1. PFS Classical Pilates Instructor Theory:

    • Format: Online exam
    • Questions: 28 multiple-choice questions
    • Pass Mark: 75% (21 correct answers required)
  2. PFS Functional Biomechanics®: Posture, Anatomy & Physiology:

    • Format: Online exam
    • Questions: 72 multiple-choice questions
    • Pass Mark: 75% (54 correct answers required)
  3. PFS Nutrition Introduction®:

    • Format: Online exam
    • Questions: 16 multiple-choice questions
    • Pass Mark: 75% (12 correct answers required)

 

Practical Exam

  • Demonstration:
    • You must demonstrate a 30-minute Classical Pilates sequence as taught during the course.
    • This will be observed and assessed by the examiner to evaluate your ability to correctly teach and execute the exercises.

 

Mandatory Self-Study

  • Pilates Class Participation:
    • You are required to attend 10 Pilates classes taught by a certified Pilates Instructor of your choice.
    • An attendance sheet will be provided for the instructor to fill out and verify your participation.
    • Important: Failure to complete this requirement will disqualify you from the final examination. In such a case, you will only receive a certificate of attendance, and you will need to repeat the course at your own cost in order to qualify for teaching Classical Mat Pilates.

 

Final Certification

  • Certification Awarded:
    • After successfully passing both the theory and practical exams, along with fulfilling the self-study requirements, you will be awarded the PFS Classical Pilates Instructor Certification.
    • This certification enables you to teach Classical Mat Pilates and is recognized in fitness facilities worldwide.

 Certification Obtained: PFS Classical Mat Pilates Instructor

Study Mode:

  • Theory: Live online sessions
  • Practical: In-studio training for hands-on experience
  • Self-Study: Mandatory for full understanding and course completion

Examination:

  • Required: Participants must pass both theoretical and practical exams. Details of the exam process are available on the EXAM tab above.
  • 100% Attendance: Attendance is mandatory for all sessions to ensure that you are fully prepared for the certification exam.
  • Repeat Exam: If needed, participants can retake the exam to achieve the required standard for certification.

Important Information:

  • Full Certification: The final PFS Classical Pilates Instructor certification will only be awarded to participants who successfully complete the course and pass the examinations.
  • Insurance: The certification allows instructors to teach Pilates classes professionally and be eligible for insurance coverage.

  • Payment Deadline: Payment for the course must be made at least one week before the scheduled date. This allows us to:
