You will learn about safety on Aqua classes, movements in water, how to work with music in water and how to create a class for beginners and intermediate customers. You will also learn how to save your energy and your muscles in a very difficult environment on the deck. You will be able to use water to its full potential and adapt to your customers' needs without limitations you often reaching on the Gym or Studio floor.
Train your swimming coaches, fitness professional to teach a dynamic and popular group class in shallow water for all levels.
It is a course suited to all fitness levels and aims to give a total body workout combining cardiovascular fitness and muscle conditioning. No swimming skills are needed for this course and it will suit all age groups as one of its main advantages is the very low impact on the joints, therefore reducing any risk of injury.
Very popular amongst those recovering from hard workouts, competitions or injury. Also suitable for pregnant women, seniors and persons with varying degrees of moving difficulty (osteoporosis, arthritis, etc).
After this course, you will be able to:
Conduct a healthy warm-up at the start of the Aqua fitness class (in a pool)
Explain the principles of water workout techniques
Explain the physiological aspects of Aqua Aerobics
Explain the structure of an Aqua class
Explain the conditions required for an Aqua class
Apply the principles of health & safety during an Aqua class
Teach an Aqua class using music and tempo
Teach various types of Aqua classes
Use the following Aqua equipment: Noodles in both shallow and deep water
Apply proper cooldown and stretch techniques to the water environment
With our course, you will be able to conduct safe and enjoyable Aqua classes for participants of various fitness levels.
You will be able to use water resistance and hydrostatic pressure as body toning tools.
Adapt the class to people with various needs, e.g. overweight people, those with osteoporosis and injuries, and pregnant women. The risk of injury in water is minimal so these groups benefit greatly from aqua classes.
You will also know how to use equipment in aqua classes to give participants a better opportunity to increase their fitness level and tone their bodies.
Work full-time or part-time within a leisure centre or health club.
Deliver a number of classes per week in various locations as a freelancer.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This course is open for everyone who wants to improve their teaching skills and general knowledge in the field, walking the path of development and reach excellence.
There are no previous qualifications required however a reasonable level of fitness and exposure to the industry are recommended.

Course hours that require 100% attendance: 6.5 hours held on one day
Additional self-study hours: 5 - 8 hours* the time burden can vary depending on individual ability and dedication.
Upon the completion of the course and successful passing of the exam; you will receive certificate.
