You may ask yourself, why is our PFS FITNESS COMBO course ahead of its time?  It is because all Fitness Instructor courses teach only Exercise to Music classes whereas PFS FITNESS GROUP INSTRUCTOR will give you an opportunity to learn to teach classes without music as well. And in addition to this, you will become a qualified PILATES TEACHER!

 Developed with the leading fitness industry employers in mind, the PFS FITNESS COMBO course will teach you both the essential and advanced skills needed to kick-start your fitness career. Taught by our expert Teachers in a fun and engaging environment, you will learn about the latest fitness training methods and trends, and how to teach the most up to date group classes and Pilates to guide your clients towards their goals. In addition, you will also gain an understanding of how to lead an effective workout to music and without music. You will also find out how to work in sport, fitness and recreational environments, in Ireland or abroad. Pilates course precisely follows the methods of Joseph Pilates and his original sequence of exercises. Classical mat Pilates is the foundation where every aspiring Pilates instructor must start. Designed to give participants all the basic skills, knowledge and exercises to allow the safe and effective use of Pilates in providing a great workout for their clients.

On a practical level, the course covers a range of activities that focus on strength, stamina, flexibility, effective circuit training, exercise to music and without music with various forms of equipment and Pilates for all clients ranging from beginners to advanced.

With such broad qualifications, you are guaranteed to find employment!

There are no previous qualifications required however some experience taking part in ETM classes would be beneficial.

Course hours that require 100% attendance: 14 day course ( 112 Hours) 

Additional self-study hours: 12 - 24 hours* the time burden can vary depending on individual ability and dedication.

Examination hours: The time involved in examinations is not included in the above hours. Please refer to EXAM section for further information regarding the examination.

The Diploma examination the will take place on the last day of the course, as specified in the course schedule .  Exam is included in the price of the course and repeats are subject to additional costs.


The PPFS FITNESS GROUP INSTRUCTOR examination consists of:

Theory: The PFS ANATOMY BASIC exam consists of 28 multiple choice questions given on paper. For more information about the Anatomy & Physiology exam please follow the link provided.

Theory Fitness Instructor: exam consists of 28 multiple choice questions given on paper

Practical demonstration of one class chosen at random by the Examiner on the day, from the list of modules included in the package.

Certified modules:  Students will be assessed by the teacher on the day and if their performance is satisfactory, the certificate will be awarded. Should the teacher decide otherwise, a separate exam day will follow.

The PFS PILATES TEACHER examination consists of:

  1. Theory exam: 21 out of which 17 are multiple choice and 4 are open questions on paper, from our PFS Mat Pilates manual.

  2. Practical: 20-minute demonstration of the Classical sequence of exercises as taught in the course.

  3. Mandatory self-study: the student has to participate in 10 classes taught by a certified Pilates Instructor of their choice. An attendance sheet will be provided that the Instructors need to fill. Not fulfilling this requirement leads to disqualification from the rest of the examination, in which case the participant gains only a certificate of attendance and is not able to teach Classical Mat Pilates. The examination will then need to be repeated at the cost of the student.


Upon the successful completion of the course, you will receive 10 certificates and 1 diploma.

Qualification obtained: Group Fitness Instructor (EQF level 3|NQF level 4) | Ireland completed referencing the Irish NFQ to the EQF in 2009 and Pilates Teacher  EQF Level 4 | NQF level 5*

Study Mode: Theory in class or studio, Practice in the gym or studio, and mandatory Self-study.

All our courses are accredited by REPs Ireland and recognised worldwide through ICREPs.

All PFS qualifications meet industry standards that have been developed and published by the European Health & Fitness Association (EHFA).

REPs Ireland ensures that all standards used are mapped to and meet all appropriate International standards where possible, to ensure all REPs Ireland members benefit from recognition of their status from other National REPs.

Payment rules 

  • We operate on a first come, first serve basis with no exceptions.

  • We allow only 10 places per course.

  • To secure your place on the course the payment should be made upon registration.

  • We allow 5 calendar days to receive payment before your place is given to another person that has paid.

  • After 5 calendar days have passed, and we haven't received any payment, you will need to register again if places are still available.

  • There is no way to prolong the 5 calendar days. Registrations are not accepted if you have already registered and the initial 5 days have not elapsed.

  • If we have received a late Early Bird payment (i.e. you registered for the Early Bird but we haven't received payment within 5 calendar days) you will be liable for the Normal Price as outlined in our Terms & Conditions. No exceptions will be made.

  • If you have signed up at the Normal Price or Early Bird price and we haven't received the full amount from you before the start of the course, then you will be subject to Instalment payments.

Normal Price

Payment must be made in full and received by us before the course starts. Please take into account that bank transfers may take time and we operate on a first come first serve basis with no exceptions as outlined in PAYMENT RULES.


The instalment price is divided into six equal payments. The first instalment has to be paid upon registration. The subsequent instalments will be paid during the course with the last instalment paid before the course ends. Instalment payments are subject to our Terms and Conditions.
